🌟 About Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)

For over 55 years, RYLA has been helping young leaders in WA grow into confident, capable, and community-minded individuals.

RYLA is a dynamic eight-day residential program for 18–28 year olds, focused on leadership, self-awareness, and personal growth. It’s a week like no other—filled with engaging workshops, outdoor challenges, and transformative conversations.

Participants will:

🔹 Build leadership, communication, and emotional intelligence in a supportive environment

🔹 Connect with like-minded young people and form lifelong friendships

🔹 Step out of their comfort zone and discover their potential

🔹 Gain insights into their strengths, values, and areas for growth

🔹 Take part in fun, structured activities that encourage real-world learning

Location: Serpentine Camping Centre
Attendance: Full participation in person is required


👥 Who Should Attend?

RYLA is open to Western Australians aged 18–28, from all walks of life. Ideal candidates are those who are:

  • Ready for personal transformation

  • Curious about leadership and personal development

  • Exploring their next step in life or career

  • Keen to build confidence, resilience, and purpose

  • Looking for a break from the everyday to refocus and recharge

Whether they’re at university, working, or in a gap year—RYLA helps young adults become the best version of themselves, both as people and as future leaders.

RYLA is hands-on, high-energy, and life-changing. The program combines interactive workshops, physical challenges, team-building exercises, and guest speakers.

To attend RYLA, participants must be sponsored by a Rotary Club.
Rotary Clubs play a vital role in identifying and supporting future leaders.
