Welcome
The National Youth Science Forum is a two-week programme for students moving into Year 12 who are thinking about a career in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.(STEM). It is held each January at Universities in either WA, Canberra or Brisbane.
For this prestigious program participants live on campus and are involved in site tours, laboratory activities, workshops, lectures and social events. This includes discussion of National and international issues with leading experts in their fields and group activities to improve communication and presentation skills. There is little time for outside activities and everyone is encouraged to embrace their passion for STEM as well as outside interests such as sport, the arts and music. The program continues after January, in the form of university seminars and industry site visits in March and April and afterwards as a network of like minded young people who have become life long friends with the common aim of encouraging excellence in STEM.
The cost includes return travel to and accommodation. All activities are fully supervised by student staff and Resident Rotary Counsellors.
