Wear your End Polio Now t-shirt and Ride the Trains to raise awareness of Rotary's signature project. No fundraising on the trains. Buy your t-shirt when you register.
World Polio Day is 24 October. Rotary remains committed to the program “End Polio Now”, which aims to eradicate the disease poliomyelitis through the vaccination of children in the world. Today there are 98 cases in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Rotarians around the world are attempting to achieve necessary funding through their clubs with each dollar raised being matched 2:1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Our Goal for 2026 is to raise awareness of Polio in our communities on 24 October, in order to raise $50,000 for this year’s ‘End Polio Now’ campaign from Club sponsorships, NOT from the public.

The plan is for Rotarians from Rotary WA to ride the trains throughout the WA Railway Network on Saturday 24 October wearing a red Polio T-shirt promoting 'End Polio Now' and creating awareness in the public domain.

Although the event is free, we would love you to register so you are covered by insurance and so we can see what impact we are making.

You can ride the trains anytime between 8am and 6.00pm, wearing your Polio T-Shirt. If you need to order a new t-shirt click this link to check the sizing and how to order.

At the end of the day, we will be meeting - informally - at The Island Bar at Elizabeth Quay to swap stories and a bit of fellowship.
