Lorraine Finlay, Australian Human Rights Commissioner.
In Human Rights: Everyone, Everywhere, Everyday, Commissioner Finlay will reflect on the continued importance of human rights, and the challenges that we are facing in Australia and around the world. Modern slavery and human trafficking will be highlighted as a key human rights issue where global promises are still waiting to be delivered. In particular, she will emphasize the responsibility that each of us has to bring human rights to life in our daily lives, echoing Eleanor Roosevelt’s belief that human rights begin ‘in small places, close to home’.
