RWADE Geraldton 2024
An enormous “THANK YOU” for your involvement, help and enthusiastic support on Thursday 7th & Friday 8th March for our 18th Rotary WA Driver Education program attended by nine Midwest Schools, Years 10 – 11.
RWADE has certainly been a rewarding program for so many of us having had the pleasure of being involved. We have witnessed many changes over the years and I would hope that we have saved lives and made a difference to those young people who attended this program.
A big welcome to our new friends of Rotary, Renette Ashworth Preece, Gloria Thompson, Chris & Celia Lee, Liam Doig and Jennifer Wedgwood thank you, your involvement makes an enormous difference and certainly adds to the smooth running of the day.
To our wonderful team you are all amazing!! WA Police/ George Tilbury & Lyndsay Daw, Hazards and Risks, Tony Keeping / DFES Geraldton Fire Station along with his team assisting us with the setup of the Marquee etc. with Russell McKinnon. Fiona Galvin/St John WA, Crash Survivor Danny Harrison and his carer Ghariba Lummert, My Wheels, Khianah Forth for stepping in last minute with the help of Grant Woodhams and day two Rachael Gardener from Drennan O’Malley Motors, Stopping Distances - Noelene Ainslie/Desert to Coast Training & Assessing, Zane, Annie and Shane from QUBE Bulk Midwest and our Road Train. BACKPACKS AND SOCKS FOR THE HOMELESS
Winter is fast approaching and Karrinyup Rotary is once again running two projects to assist the homeless.
Backpacks for distribution via the Perth Homeless Support Group containing items, which will provide some comfort and warmth during the cold winter evenings.

How to accelerate real-world, social impact by driving systemic policy change
International social justice campaigner, Michael Sheldrick influenced world leaders and won the support of Bill Gates and the Australian Government to raise over $120 million for Global Poverty Project's campaign to fight the disease Polio.
He has social impact campaigns that have helped secure more than US$40 billion for local and regional organizations providing access to lifesaving medical treatment, sanitation, education, equity and empowerment, and climate residency efforts. Amongst other awards, One World received the Guinness World Record for most money raised for charity by a remote music festival.
He was named a finalist for 2017 Young Commonwealth Person of the Year and is also a board member of the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens, and is on the Leadership Council of aable, a financial technology company that connects compassionate investors to underbanked people across the world.

A soulful Sunday session of great love and good times with songs from when lyrics and music captured your heart.

Nick, Anne, and Keith have been making music for over 5 decades and performed numerous fund- raising concerts for many worthy organisations over the years including Royal Flying Doctor Service, St John’s Ambulance, Fremantle Street Doctors, Alisama Orphanage and Franciscans of the Cross.
ROTARY INTERNATIONAL has raised millions of dollars with its ‘END POLIO’ campaign to help eradicate polio for ever, and the work is ongoing. Our singer, Anne Rowe has lived with polio from the age of two so please come along and help Swan Rotary and NAK in their quest to make a meaningful contribution in the battle against polio. Mt Lawley Quiz Night 2024…
The Rotary Club of Mt Lawley's Annual Quiz Night is back on Friday 19th April! Come and help us raise funds to support the RSPCA and other community projects. Tables of 8 are available for $160 per table. Join us for your chance to win a great collection of prizes, including exclusive jewellery from Matusik Diamond Jewellers in Mt Lawley.
There will be 8 rounds that test your knowledge in a wide variety of subjects, table quizzes and other fun games. Bring gold coins on the night for a range of fun games and there are some terrific prizes to win!

The volunteers do not necessarily have to be a Rotarian.
We need help with sorting through the many donations of books and clothing and bric-a-brac and also .. if willing..take a turn on the Roster.
